Prank links that do not actually prank anyone

Search for a prank link generator and the results split into two kinds. The first kind is dead — sites from 2011 that no longer load. The second kind you should not send to anyone: fake virus warnings, fake login screens, pages that ask for a phone number "to continue", endless pop-ups.

That second kind is not a joke. It is a phishing page wearing a joke as a hat. When your friend enters something into it, or when the page grabs their number, the prank is on them for real.

What makes a prank link actually harmless

Three things, and they are easy to check before you send anything:

1. It does not ask for credentials. No login form, no phone number, no "verify you are human" that leads to a subscription.
2. It does not download or install. Opening the link should produce a web page and nothing else.
3. It does not leave them worse off. After the joke lands, they should have gained something — at minimum, not lost thirty seconds and some trust.

The version that ends with an answer

AIsked is built on the third rule. Someone asks you a question they could have looked up. Instead of answering, you paste it in, pick which model answers — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok — and send the link you get.

They open it and watch the address type itself, then watch the question get typed into a chat box, then watch the answer come in. The joke is the performance: someone did the lazy thing for them, in public, slowly. Then the answer is right there and they read it.

Nobody signs into anything. Nothing installs. The page is a page.

What this link does not do

Worth being explicit, because the neighbourhood is bad:

• No downloads. Nothing is ever offered to save or run.
• No login screen. Real or fake. Reading is free without an account.
• No phone numbers, no card details. Never asked for, anywhere on the site.
• No pop-ups, no redirects, no fullscreen tricks.
• No advertising trackers and no profile built across other sites.

The one thing the page does keep is a salted hash of the visitor's IP address, for 48 hours, so the free-questions counter works. The address itself is never stored, and the hash changes every day.

The part to think about before sending

The question you type becomes a public page. It gets its own address, and search engines may index it. So the prank works with "how do I reset my router" and does not work with anything that names a real person or contains anything private. Do not put someone's phone number, address, or medical situation into a joke link — that stops being a joke immediately, and we remove pages like that when they are reported.

The answer comes from a model, too. It is usually right and occasionally confidently wrong, so it is a fine answer for boiling an egg and a poor source for anything that matters.

Take the last question someone asked you that they could have answered themselves. Paste it on the front page, pick a model, copy the link. If it lands, they will send one back — which is the actual point.
